contents: This is a first luxury, illustrated edition of the "Camera Obscura", published by the Erven F. Bohn in 1878. The edition, substantial in size and printed on good paper, had already been reprinted in 1880. The artist F.C. Sierig, who made the wood engravings, was a well-known painter of genre pictures, portraits and townscapes from The Hague.
