contents: The Koninklijke boek- en steendrukkerij Corns. Immig & Son, established in 1873 in Rotterdam, celebrated it's 35th anniversary in 1908. A commemorative book was published on the occasion which contained this illustration and the following in the series. The firm began very modestly: on an upper floor with two type frames with three kinds of book letters, a few kinds of display letters, some decorative material and a single hand press. But 'driven by great energy and strength' the founder, Cornelis Immig, was able to allow the business to grow and become a modern printing house which, in 1908, 'was able to supply almost anything to do with the printing trade.'
