contents: The draughtsmen work in daylight. The grinding and printing workshops are established in the basement. Lithographic stones were very expensive, and the drawings were therefore carefully removed after use, in order to be able to use the stones again. This could be done a couple of times, until the stone had become too fragile. Downstairs, a section of the printing shop can be seen where a large number of printers operate hand presses. While the cylinder presses were in operation, the hand presses still there could be used for other jobs. It would have been the destruction of capital if all hand presses had been thrown out with the introduction of cylinder presses.
