contents: The N.V. Lettergieterij 'Amsterdam', voorheen N. Tetterode, published two series in 1912: Engraving I and Engraving II. They were inspired by the engraving letters of the Cochins in the 18th century. These are printing examples with letters cast in an open engraving (left frame above, an engraving series II (right) and a decorated engraving italic (below). On the page to the right are a few engraved vignettes. Both the letters and the decorations go back to 18th-century French designs.
