contents: The Fourdrinier machine, developed by, amongst others, the Fourdrinier brothers in England in the years 1803-1808, was called after them for that very reason. The 'Fourdrinier machine' consists of a long broad belt of wire cloth which is led continuously along a number of rollers. On the wire cloth The pulp is poured onto the wire cloth which is thus mechanically made into paper.
