contents: Cheops, one of the major Dutch poems of the 20th century, was published for the first time in De Nieuwe Gids of 1915 and a year later in this bibliophile edition. This was printed by Jean François van Royen for 'de Zilverdistel' and composed in the 'Zilvertype', specially designed by S.H. de Roos for 'de Zilverdistel'. De Roos also made the woodcut for the initial title shown here. The book is the thirteenth `Ziverdistel' book and a highlight of Dutch book art.
